Appearance

The concept behind the Shin-Marunouchi Building is "wonderful time". The building has a high-class feel and hosts 150 unique shops; visitors are able to enjoy the leisurely passage of time by shopping and dining in this affluent space.

The public areas have a spacious feel of affluence and feature sofas and benches. The symbolic linking arches at the first floor Tokyo Station Entrance and the "passage" lined with small, unique specialist shops allow visitors to enjoy a sense of walking outside, in the street, and the floors and zones of the building are all decorated to themes.

The Shopping Zone hosts roughly 110 different shops while the Restaurant Zone hosts 30 establishments offering Japanese, Western, Chinese and ethnic fare.

The 7th floor hosts the unique Marunouchi House - featuring 8 dining establishments and an attractive terrace, it acts as a whole-floor lounge where visitors can enjoy themselves in many different ways and have a "wonderful time" deep into the night.

A giant disco ball glitters enticingly in the elevator hall and feel-good music flows from the DJ booth, making the 7th floor the News Floor of Marunouchi.
