Opened in 2003 as one of Tokyo's recent urban development projects, Roppongi Hills is a huge business and shopping complex, encompassing residential spaces, entertainment and cultural facilities, a cinema complex and a broadcasting center.
The commercial composite district, made up of four uniquely defined areas, plays host to over 200 boutiques, cafes, restaurants and promenades, mostly located on lower floors, where visitors can enjoy shopping, dining and strolling while taking in the surrounding plush green.
Other tourist attractions include TOKYO CITY VIEW, a glass-walled observatory on the 52nd floor, at 238 meters above the ground, and Sky Deck, a spacious, open-air observation platform atop the building.
The Mori Art Museum on the 53rd and Mori Arts Center Gallery on the 52nd floors are known to present contemporary and international works of art.
