Kaguwa---the self-styled "Tokyo's largest amusement show restaurant"---is an entertainment restaurant where guests can taste sumptuous food while enjoying the stage shows featuring transsexuals, or "New Halfs" as they are often referred to in Japan.
The spacious restaurant with 186 seats hosts elaborate live stage shows twice a day, oozing the feel of an authentic red-light quarter from the Meiji period. Guests are treated to a range of inventive cooking---cuisines from the 19th century Japan prepared in a contemporary style---while the performers, consisting of transgenders or transvestites, provide an exciting evening with action-filled, acrobatic feats.
