Hakone Kowakien Yunessun

Hakone Kowakien Yunessun is a spa resort and water amusement park offering a unique combination of water recreation facilities and conventional Japanese onsen. The park is separated into three major sections, "Yunessun", "Yutopia", and "Mori NO YU", each with distinctive characteristics.

"Yunessun" has 20 different spas for recreational activities. Visitors are required to wear swimsuits in this section. The highlight is "The God's Aegean Sea" the largest spa in the park featuring a Mediterranean setting. Other interesting attractions include "Doctor Fish Foot Bath" and "Hot Spring Cave"

"Yutopia" is an open-air space with a pleasant view of the scenic surroundings. Guests need to wear swimsuits in this section, too. There are unique outdoor spas such as "Wine Spa", "Green Tea Spa" and "Coffee Spa".

"Mori NO YU" is where you can experience hot spring baths in the traditional Japanese style. Like many other Japanese onsen, this section is divided into private areas for women and for men, and bathers are not allowed to wear swimsuits. In the "Cypress Bathtub", guests will enjoy the relaxing fragrance of cypress wood while viewing a beautiful Japanese garden. "Taru Buro - Large Cask Bath Tub" is made of a huge wooden cask (taru), large enough for two people to bathe in.

At the check-in counter, a free towel and a wireless digital wristwatch are supplied. The wristwatch works is connected to a cash-less payment system so that visitors have only to make one final payment at the checkout counter.

Tourists planning to spend a couple of days in the area may want to choose accommodation at the nearby resort hotels, "Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en", "Yunessun Inn B&B" or "Pension Hakone"
