SHIKA-JAYA

SHIKA-JAYA
Appearance of Shika-jaya

SHIKA-JAYA is a unique restaurant specializing in tofu and yamaimo (Japanese mountain yam) dishes.

The most popular item on the menu is "So-un Dofu", which is a locally-made brand of tofu cooked in a broth of flavorful dashi (kelp stock). It is served with grated yamaimo seasoned with red miso (thick paste made from soybean).

Tourists will enjoy the meal at this low-keyed timbered house, while appreciating the view of the Hayakawa River below, stemming from the complex volcano of Hakone.
