Located under the spreading sky and along the azure blue sea of Tokyo Bay is Kasai Rinkai Park, a place where visitors can experience greenery and water in five specials zones. Started as part of the Kasai Sea Land Rezoning Project in January 1985, about 38 hectors of the park opened in 1989. The park continued to expand with the opening of the Bird Park in April 1995, the viewing rest area "Crystal View" in July 1996, and the giant Ferris Wheel in the spring of 2001. Adjacent to Kasai Kaihin Park, it is highly regarded as a tourist spot. Featuring the operation of aquatic buses, this waterfront area is rapidly gaining popularity.
