Kyoto International Manga Museum

Kyoto International Manga Museum is a public facility which is jointly managed by Kyoto city and Kyoto Seika University. The purpose of the museum is to collect, store and exhibit comic books, with some of its collection dating back to the Meiji era.

The museum also undertakes research projects on manga culture. Along with the museum, there is a library housing an enormous collection of over 300,000 manga items (as of 2008), including historical materials and contemporary artworks. Some are planned to be preserved as digital archives.

* The fee for the Special Exhibition is charged separately

Access
