Two more characters are joining the already character-filled shopping mall "Tokyo Character Street", located within the Tokyo Station. Kiddy Land Co., Ltd.--a retail company specializing in sales of hobby goods and stationary--is opening "miffy style in Tokyo Station" and "Hello Kitty Tokyo Station shop" on March 16th.

Both shops are produced by Kiddy Land, in partnership with Dick Bruna Japan and Sanrio Company, Ltd. Kiddy Land is operating two more character-specific stores along the shopping street; "Rilakkuma Store Tokyo Station Shop", dedicated to the relaxed and relaxing bear character from San-X, and "Kapibara-san Kyurutto Tokyo Station Shop", featuring the Capybara- based character named "Kapibara-san". The know-how learned from their management will be applied to the new shops that are sure to delight fans to no end.

Miffy is a brainchild of a Dutch picture book author Dick Bruna, and ever since its birth in 1955, the rabbit character has been beloved by fans the world over.
"miffy style" is a chain of official miffy shops produced by collaboration of Kiddy Land and Dick Bruna Japan, with the newest shop being the third one, following the forerunners in Umeda, Osaka, and Kichijoji, Tokyo. The Tokyo Station shop will have about 20 square meters (approx.) of shop floor in a simple and stylish design, with about 400 items lining the shelves.

"Hello Kitty Tokyo Station shop" will handle about 1200 different kinds of Kitty-related collectibles on 23 square meters (approx.) of shop floor. The store will be decorated with a big pink ribbon at the entrance, with the color of pink dominating the interior as well, to represent Hello Kitty's private room.
