In December 2011, Anpanman Digital released a free iPhone app called, "Go! Anpanman!", which is based on the well-loved anime of the same name.
The app is the second official Anpanman app--following the pay app, "Mainichi! Anpanman-Let's Count! How many days since? How many days till?"--and can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store.
The app may be for free, but the content is nothing to sniff at. Included in the app is "Anpanman's World", which introduces all the characters from "Go! Anpanman", and the original artist, Takashi Yanase.
The app also includes five types of picture coloring, with two coloring methods to choose from. In "jiyu" mode the user can color freehand, and in "kire" mode the picture is colored in by touching a section of the picture. The finished product can be saved in the app's album, and also shared with friends via the Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail sharing function.
In addition, the app also includes a trial version of the pay app, "Mainichi! Anpanman-Let's Count! How many days since? How many days till?". Register a birthday and Anpanman, or Baikinman, will begin the countdown.
