'Time of Eve' Film version for iPhone app released.

  • Translated by: TOKYO INFORMATION NET from the website of Anime Anime Japan Ltd.

The net anime "Time of Eve" has been grabbing a lot of attention with its development from the original 6-issue online streaming format into its theatrical version.
The recent move of the anime series has been directed toward smart phones. Last year the film version was released on the iTunes Store, and came in first in the Japanese film section of iTunes Store Download Ranking, and third in the entire film section, bettered only by "Toy Story 3" and "Inception".

And now comes iPhone app "Time of Eve act0X", featuring a total of 6 newly-created stories, and a coffee timer and alarm clock functions.
The plots of the "voice stories", as they are named in Japan, were drawn up by Kei Mizuichi who also authored the novelization of the series. The coffee timer helps you replicate the flavor of Evlend---the coffee blend used in the anime---with Nagi, the waitress (cv. Rina Sato), counting the time and recounting how you should go about brewing just the right mix.
The alarm clock function features Sammy, the household android (cv. Rie Tanaka), who lets you know when the registered date and time has come. All these functions are available by updating the trial version and acquiring the pay app.

Meantime, much focus is being placed on what Director Yasuhiro Yoshiura has in store for us. His new movie "Sakasama no Patema" was announced December last year and, although the details are kept tantalizingly secret to date, it is presumed to be a totally original work.
And let us not forget to stay updated on "Time of Eve", which the director sinks his energy and emotion into.
