The monthly magazine "Hero's", which published its first issue in November 2011, has been taking the manga industry by storm, thanks to its new and innovative ideas. One such idea is a collaboration with popular idol unit, AKB48.
"Hero's" is a new magazine that covers "hero" manga, and the decision to collaborate with AKB48, and have them as the image person for the magazine, came early on in the project, with the AKB48's determination and spunk being compared to the unbendable willpower of heroes.
The latest collaboration project, "Wallpaper Present Campaign Pt.2: Majestic Prince and Yuko Oshima", will be unveiled at 18:00 pm on January 12th. In the collaboration, an AKB48 member dresses up as one of the heroes being featured in the issue. The first collaboration was in December and featured, "Gin no Kerberos and Yuki Kashiwagi".
A quiz will be posted on the "Hero's" official Twitter account at 6 pm on January 12th, with the first 480 people to answer the question receiving a visual wallpaper of Yuko Oshima in "Majestic Prince" cosplay. The desktop wallpaper image was created with CG and matte paint, and comes with a serial number.
The featured story, "Majestic Prince", was written and designed by Lando Ayamine, who is also known for his work on "Get Backers-Dakkanya", and drawn up by Hikaru Niijima.
The story follows its heroes, who are genetic engineered to adapt to life in the universe, and their struggle to protect mankind.
