Target is female high school students: Cinnamoroll and SCANDAL collaborate

Sanrio will release its original character "Cinnamoroll" intended for female high school students which steadily expands popularity since its debut in 2002.

Prior to release of the product, girl's band SCANDAL which rallies high support from female high school students will collaborate with "Cinnamoroll". SCANDAL will sing a new song of title of "CUTE!" as a collaboration song. "CUTE!" which is included in single "Pride" as the 2nd song will be released February 9, 2011. Lyric of this song was written by one of member of SCANDAL, MAMI.

"Cinnamoroll" developed by Sanrio is character of puppy named Cinnamon and has been unfurled since May, 2002. According to Sanrio, female primary school students support the character but generation familiarized Cinnamon at an early age already enters generation of female high school students because 8 years passed since release of the product. So Sanrio starts product development to meet growth of users.

New product of "Cinnamoroll" which becomes an adult slightly by wearing marine hat which is popular among young women will appear in mid-February, 2011. Sanrio challenges whether it can win heart and mind of users again.
